Greek Yogurt Cake: A Light and Healthy Dessert

Greek yogurt cake is a delicious dessert that combines lightness and flavors. Easy to prepare, it is perfect for any occasion, whether for a snack or dessert after a meal. Here is a simple recipe to make this cake.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pot of Greek yogurt (approximately 200 g)
  • 2 pots of sugar
  • 3 pots of flour
  • 1 jar of olive oil (or other oil)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 sachet of baking powder
  • The zest of a lemon (optional)
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheating : Preheat your oven to 180°C (th. 6).
  2. Mixture of ingredients : In a large salad bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, sugar, eggs and oil until smooth.
  3. Adding dry ingredients : Add the flour, baking powder, lemon zest and a pinch of salt. Mix well until the dough is smooth.
  4. Cooking : Pour the mixture into a mold previously buttered or lined with parchment paper. Bake for about 30 to 40 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and a knife inserted comes out clean.
  5. Cooling : Let the cake cool in the pan for a few minutes, then unmold it onto a rack to cool completely.

Tasting

This Greek yogurt cake can be served plain, sprinkled with icing sugar, or accompanied by fresh fruit and a little honey. It is ideal for a light and healthy dessert.
