Savory, jammy, and dangerously addictive!
You’ll need:
- 10 eggs
- 150ml light soy sauce
- 150ml water
- 1 tbsp red onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp red chili peppers, chopped
- 1 tbsp white sesame seeds
- Sugar, to taste (or honey/syrup)
- Green onions, chopped
- Garlic Cloves (optional)
Steps:
- Place the eggs in a pot and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil and cook for 6 minutes.
- Transfer the eggs to an ice water bath and let them cool completely.
- In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, water, red onion, garlic, chili peppers, sesame seeds, sugar, and green onions.
- Carefully peel the eggs and place them in an airtight container. Add the peeled garlic cloves, if using, and pour the prepared sauce over everything.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.
- Enjoy with rice or noodles.
